Arizona State Requirements

What You Need to Compete

All YFL events are regulated by the Arizona Boxing & MMA Commission. The following apply to all fighters.

State LicenseAll fighters must hold a current Arizona combatant license. Amateur: $10 — Professional: $25. Apply at gaming.az.gov.

Medical ExamAn annual physician’s physical examination is required. Arizona is a calendar-year state for medical requirements.

Blood TestsCurrent blood tests (HIV, Hepatitis B & C) required. All medical paperwork due to the Commission by 4:30 PM, 48 hours before the event.

Eye ExamA current eye examination is required as part of the medical clearance process. Results must be submitted to the Commission with your other medical paperwork by the 48-hour deadline.

Amateur to Pro TransitionArizona requires a minimum of 5 verified amateur bouts before turning professional. The Commission may waive this requirement.

Cornermen & TrainersAll cornermen must be licensed ($25) and paperwork submitted by the same 48-hour deadline.

Pro DebutFirst-time professional fighters must provide proof of amateur record, training facility name, and a signed trainer affidavit certifying readiness.

Event Expectations

What We Expect from You

Day Before the Event — Weigh-Ins

All fighters must attend official weigh-ins the day before the event and be on weight. Missing weight without prior communication is taken seriously and affects future bookings.

Commitment to Fight

When you accept a fight at YFL, you are making a commitment to your opponent, your team, the fans, and the promotion. Pulling out without legitimate medical cause — especially late in fight camp — leaves your opponent without a bout and damages the card. Fighters who withdraw without cause may not be rebooked.

Professional Conduct

Be on time for all mandatory appearances. Professional conduct on and off the mat reflects on you, your gym, and YFL.
